A holiday re-invented: World Musical Day!

I’ve recently joined the daily prompt on wordpress, and today’s prompt was “invent a new holiday” so thought for two seconds, and for some reason, music came to mind.

Remember the scene from Scrubs where the patient comes in with a head injury or something? and she imagines that everyone is singing to her rather than speaking?

I’d love to wake up to that sort of day!

Can you imagine the fun we’d have, horrible voices and all! Just the mere idea of having improv theatre all around us, screaming our lungs out… or whispering softly.

Bet meetings on that day would have a completely different taste…and who knows, if dance is better than powerpoint in presenting an idea (refer to the talk from TEDxBrussels), then musical lyrics are better than words at creating true inspiration.

So here’s to living our own musicals… and living life at the edge of our seats! Enjoy the scene from Scrubs.

Which holiday would you create? If you had the chance…
